Sacramento, CA – Rachel Clemente, LEED® AP, CDT, has joined BCA Architects as a Design Leader. In this role, she sets the architectural vocabulary and design standards for the firm’s educational, civic and commercial projects. She monitors the design intent of a given project from inception through construction administration, including solving technical challenges, selecting building materials and developing presentational renderings.
Currently, Clemente is conceptualizing the design for the historic renovation of the Land Park Amphitheater for the City of Sacramento and for a new charter school in Vacaville, CA for Kairos Public Schools. Other notable projects include the 21st Century modernization of Freshwater Elementary School in Eureka, CA and Pine Ridge Elementary School in Fresno County, CA. Prior to joining the firm, Clemente was involved in several prominent projects throughout the region, such as The UV Redesign in Sacramento, CA (formerly known as University Village Shopping Center), Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Folsom, CA, the redesign of Alta Sunrise Retail Center in Citrus Heights, CA and a new Starbucks building in Rohnert Park, CA.

Clemente’s 20-year career has been primarily focused on commercial office, retail, mixed-use and institutional architecture. In addition to being a registered architect in the Philippines, her credentials include being a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) through the U.S. Green Building Council and a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) (a certification recognized by the Construction Specifications Institute). Clemente earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas, College of Architecture and Fine Arts in the Philippines.
